The day’s activities started at 8 in the morning with breakfast at the hotel and headed to the Easton Training Center at 8:45 to begin our training. Our first activity was to review the videos from each archer’s shooting the day before in the projection room. Coach Bob Romero presented the videos and explained problem and how we can correct our form. The next activity was a game of basketball and then lunch at Hardies (Carl’s Jr). While we ate we took some time to reflect on our experience and give an opinion on how we’ve done so far.

After 3 days of going to sleep late and waking up early we were sleepy.

A series of 6 video clips for each archer was taken to analyze and correct form.
Coach Bob Romero explaining posture and techniques to correct details that were found in each archery.

During lunch we continued our conversation about our analysis from earlier that day. We also talked about psychological aspects that we need to understand to succeed in the sport.

The Easton Training Center has facilities for various sports and this allows the training camps to be varied, productive and fun

A good basketball game helps add variety to the day.
After lunch we began to correct our tecnique based on the suggestions of Coach Romero and tried practicing it by shooting at 6 meters. The compound archers worked with Coach Naty and the recurves worked with Coach Bob and Emmanuel since there was a little more complexity with the technique. They used stretch bands to facilitate with the corrections and made changes to posture and alignment. Afterwards recurves started to shoot at 6 meters then moved on with a light bow then finally shot with their own equipment. With that we ended our activity-filled day which we found to be very important and productive for every archer and we plan to help our growth as archers.

Several details of form were corrected with the help of video and photographs that helped adjust and improve each archer’s form.

Various changes were made to optimize archer’s technique. This training camp gave archers a new learning experience.
We left the center at approximately 7:40 and headed straight to dinner and ordered some cake for Coach Emmanuel whose birthday we celebrated.
This was the summary of our day.

The days go quickly in the center where there are so many activities.

Dinner like always, well deserved.

Emmanuel Murillo celebrated his birthday during the training camp.

During dinner the Baja archery team birthday number…. 6 of Coach Emmanuel Murillo, who refused to give the cake the traditional bite- “MORDIDA, MORDIA, MORDIDA”

Emmanuel, managed to steer clear of the Cake Man’s “JUSTICE”. Temporarily

But… later that evening Ricky didn’t let him get away from getting his “PRESENT”

Happy Birthday Coach Emmanuel
